All Elementary Petaluma City Schools District sites are accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2010-2011 school year, January 11 - March 12, 2011. Children must have been born on or before Dec. 2, 2005 to be eligible. The district requires proof of the child's birth date, (birth certificate or baptismal certificate duly attested), an oral health assessment, a health screening and an immunization record. Immunizations should include at least three doses of the polio vaccine, four doses of the diptheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccine, two doses of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, three doses of the hepatitis B vaccine and one dose for varicella disease. California Education Code also requires that all students entering their first year of school have an oral health assessment (dental check-up) by May 31.
